Lauryn Hill Announces First Post Prison Show Date

It was previously announced that Lauryn Hill planned to embark on a tour prior to serving her three months on house arrest.

Today, the Grammy winning singer announced that her first show since being released from a jail sentence for tax evasion will occur November 27 in New York City.

That's right folks. On Thanksgiving Eve, fans will have an opportunity to see Ms. Hill grace the Bowery Ballroom stage.

This follows a favorable ruling from U.S. Magistrate Court Judge Madeline Cox Arleo, who permitted the singer-songwriter to tour from November 15 through December 31.

Hill will begin serving her home confinement on New Year's Day.
As for the aforementioned concert, you'll have to act fast. Tickets went on sale at noon yesterday (November 18), and are likely to be gone soon. Will you be attending?

OPINION: Rappers Act Tough, But Scared To Help In Chicago

This is an OG call.
I am calling out you so-called rappers, R&B artists and athletes, since many of you have forgotten what Hip-Hop is about and how it can help our people.

So I would like to start by calling out some famous people from Chicago.

Kanye West, Noonie Ward, Common
Kanye West, Noonie Ward, Common
Common, Kanye, R. Kelly and Derrick Rose: All of these children are not going to school, being shot and not going to school.

They are on some BS, because they don’t have any sense of direction or the will to strive and survive. Over 48 schools have been closed in the city, so they have nothing else to do but gang bang, get money and do what they need to do.

And this is by design because it’s not the entire city, yet the city has never had this much violence. We were the murder capital of the United States in 2012 along.

Lincoln Park, Washington Park, all of the white areas, there is hardly any violence. But we have the same Mayor and the same police chief. But the guns, and the drugs and liquor stores are in OUR community and being sold to OUR children.
In fact, a lot of them smoke and get high and drunk to HIP-HOP music.

You all have no issues asking them to purchase your music, or to support you when you come to Chicago to perform.

You are the main ones who thrive off of the people, while the industry “pimps” you all. Maybe this is the reason you don’t do enough to help, or support the children in Chicago.
A lot of rappers have no problem demeaning our sisters, like predators, instead of showing them a different way to live.

Most artists have some sort of non-profit foundation, that other people are running. You are not using these to help the people who really need the help. At the end of the day, the hood sees no parts of these or any other resources.

Now, Kanye wearing the Confederate flag is interesting. Sometimes it seems like rappers are worse than the Ku Klux Klan.

The people in streets are starting to wake up and see your bulls**t. It won’t be so easy for you all to come to these cities and perform if the local population begins to boycott your products.

I need you all to come together as one with the guys on the street. We need to sit down and find solutions for the kids. First I propose meaningful dialog with some of the top “leaders” of these local street gangs.

Then we can move forward with a public showing of unity, such as a peace summit, or any meaningful display of unity, to help calm these troubled streets.
T.I., Chris Brown, Trey Songz, 2 Chainz, Young Jeezy, Meek Mill, Drake, Future, the list could go on and on.

For once in your life, do what your heart says and not what the powers that be tell you to do.
Help your brothers and sisters.

White Supremacist Shocked By DNA Heritage On TV Show

A white supremacist who has made it his life-long mission to segregate portions of North Dakota found out that he was 14 percent African on a British talk show.

Craig Cobb agreed to take a DNA test in the name of science, confident that his ideology was the be-all, end-all.
The announcement was made on Trisha Goddard's The Trisha Show were the rude awakening was revealed.

"86% European," Goddard said, as her guest and the audience slowly arrived at the realization of what was to come. "14% sub-Saharan African."

At that, Goddard, her other guest, and the audience members let loose their satisfaction with the test results while Cobb tried to save face (race?) by calling his genetic makeup "statistical noise."

Cobb was last in the news in October when it was reported that he was stymied in his efforts to purchase land in Leith, North Dakota, with the stated purpose of taking over the town and constructing a racialist haven called "Cobbsville."

The 62-year-old Cobb continued his denial after the results were announced, crying "This is statistical noise...oil and water don't mix," as the hysterical crowd ate up every second.

Goodard was unfazed as well and played to the crowd's enthusiasm, offering a fist bump, playfully stating "hey...bro."
In an ironic foreshadowing, comedian Dave Chappelle spoofed a similar event for his 2003 Chappelle's Show where a blind white supremacist found out the hard way he too, was Black.
It's incredible how art mimics life and vice versa. Hit the otherside to check out the hilarious clip of Cobb unwillingly losing his Neo-Nazi membership.

Suge Knight Compares Jimmy Lovine To A Ku Klux Klan

Suge Knight recently spoke about Jimmy Iovine, Diddy and Tupac Shakur.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Suge Knight, co-founder of Death Row Records, intimated that Tupac deserved a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame over Bad Boy Records founder Diddy.

"I think Tupac should have a star on there," Knight said. "I mean, shit, Puffy got a star on there. Only thing he did was dance. So I think Tupac definitely should have one for being from the West Coast."

Suge's words closely mirror his now-infamous speech at the 1995 Source Awards, where he stated, "Any artist that wants to be an artist, and stay a star, and don't want to have to worry about the executive producer trying to be all in the videos, all on the records, then come to Death Row."

Suge continued, warning those in charge of the Walk of Fame to include Tupac.

"Yeah, they better do it one way the other," Knight said. "Because, I figure, if they don't hurry up and put Tupac on the Walk of Fame, all the Tupac fans and all the homies gonna start goin' down there and start scratchin' all the other names off. They might even remove Elvis."

Tupac joined Death Row Records in 1995 upon Knight posting a $1.4 million bail to get Tupac out of prison. From that point, Pac began a successful stint on Death Row until being fatally shot in 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada, in a vehicle driven by Knight.

The mid-'90s saw a number of contentious departures from Death Row Records, including Snoop Dogg, who recently reconciled with Knight,  and Dr. Dre.

During the interview, Knight also sent shots at Jimmy Iovine, who took Dr. Dre under his wing to form Aftermath Entertainment under Iovine's Interscope Records.

"I'ma be Jimmy Iovine [for Halloween]," Knight said. "You're not gonna actually see my face. I'm just gonna have a white sheet on my head with the eyes cut out. Like the Klan."
